SWIM LESSONS 2024
"The type of teaching method used is an important factor to consider when choosing a swim program! I use a child-centered approach in my swimming lessons. This means the child sets the pace of the class and we only progress when they show the readiness to do so. I find children make progress FASTER without tears and anxiety by using this method. You'll notice I use toys, songs, and games because young children learn best through guided play. I do not practice any Infant Survival Rescue skills because they teach by force. My classes do not emphasize speed or the skill over the child’s readiness and their trust in me. I want my swimmers to love the water, their time with me, and feel empowered! I am a mom, an ACSM-certified exercise physiologist, swim lesson certified, CPR certified, insured, and have 20 years of coaching experience. I love what I do!" -Kait

Classes:
I offer classes that range from beginner adults, babies & toddlers, school-aged children, and competitive swimmers.
- Private 1 on 1
- 30-minute & 60-minute lessons
- Learning the progressions to advance towards swimming strokes
- Semi-Private
- 30-minute lesson
- Learning the progressions to advance toward learning swimming strokes
- Children must be of similar age, skill and the ability to take direction
- 2 Years and Younger- Shorter Class Option
- This is an add-on option for my littlest clients who may work best with a shorter, 15-minute lesson. I find when small children are still uncomfortable with getting their faces wet, a shorter lesson is less stressful and more fun.
- The participation of a parent or guardian is required IF the child shows distress or unhappiness
- In these lessons, children will be learning the basic building blocks and safety concepts of swimming
Canceling:
- For all Private Lessons, I require 24-hours notice to cancel or reschedule. (You also have the ability to cancel and reschedule your appointments using the link in your confirmation email.) If less than 24-hours notice is given, you will be responsible for the payment of any missed classes. It is your responsibility to make sure that your vacations, appointments and other activities do not interfere with the lessons for which you have scheduled.
- For Semi-Private lessons, if one swimmer is not in attendance for any reason, the present swimmer will be billed as a 1-on-1 Private Lesson. 24 hours notice is required from both swimmers to cancel a Semi-Private Lesson. Cancellations outside of that time frame are subject to pay the cost of the class missed.
